The Role

Are you passionate about helping students navigate the creative industry? Do you want to build and maintain the relationship between AIGA Austin and local educational institutions? If you love helping the student community, then this would be a great role for you.

Job Description

The Student Development Chair guides and supports the AIGA Austin student chapters at Texas State University, University of Texas, and Austin Community College. It is also expected for this individual to work with students at institutions without student groups such as St. Edward’s University or General Assembly. Building the connection with these students while in school and through their transition is imperative. A background in education or experience with AIGA Student Groups is a plus.

This role works very closely with the Education Director and Emerging Designer Chair in building educational programs and mentorship opportunities. 

Term: 1 year
Time Commitment: 8-10 hrs/month
