Greetings from AIGA Austin! For anyone and everyone interested in attending our career building workshop with AIGA Austin Fellow Oen Hammonds on May 14…big news! Due to scheduling conflicts we have relocated the event to another one of our favorite locations, Lewis Carnegie at 905 W. 28th 1/2 street. We will send parking details to all those who register. And that’s not all! We are proud to now offer this workshop as a FREE event to the creative community, so be sure to grab a spot, as seats are limited. In this session, Oen will provide an overview of what is happening in the design job market. He will offer insights and suggestions into how to navigate and find where the jobs are, as well as what skills you need to help you stand out to hiring managers. This session is great for all creatives, from those new to the industry to experienced-level creatives.

Oen Michael Hammonds, a designer, mentor, and IBM Distinguished Design Executive has designed across the gamut from services, advertising, graphics, interactive, and environmental. Since joining IBM in 2014, he has collaborated with teams to use the Enterprise Design Thinking (EDT) and Agile frameworks to transform many of IBM's essential employee experiences. Projects include IBM's performance management, onboarding experiences, career development, and manager and employee conversations.
