Creating Community and Why it Matters

Community defines and shapes our sense of place and helps us recognize where and what we want to belong to. Being a part of a community gives you the opportunity to connect and share experiences through face-to-face or digital interactions. Successful communities have the power to energize entire groups of people and foster lifelong connections.

In this interactive workshop, Noelle will share her experiences of creating lasting communities in the workplace. She’ll help you explore what community means to you and how you can create a sustainable culture of community to bring together the people in your life.

In this workshop you’ll:

  • Define what community means to you
  • Explore the existing communities you're a part of or want to be a part of
  • Share their impact to you personally and professionally
  • Identify next steps in your journey to creating or joining a community that matters to you

About the Host:

Noelle is an independent designer and community builder focused on creating engaging and connective experiences. She is the founder of Spare Time, a monthly workshop series, and Moment to Make, an ongoing interactive project.
